History

FeyeCon was first created in 1992 as a personal project of company founder Dr. Geert Woerlee. Having developed influential carbon dioxide technology during his university studies, the project became a spin-off company of the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands.

The company continued as a one-man operation until 2000 when it took on its first employees and set up shop in Utrecht. Since 2001 FeyeCon has grown steadily in terms of employees, intellectual property and annual revenue. By 2003 the company had outgrown its space in Utrecht and relocated to its present location in Weesp.

In Weesp FeyeCon continued to grow its man power and know-how, eventually amassing a range of on-site pilot and production facilities including a clean room facility uniquely equipped with high pressure CO2 processing equipment.

By the beginning of 2009 the company touted 28 employees, dozens of patents in a range of scientific fields and continuous double digit annual growth for nearly a decade. Today FeyeCon continues to grow, develop and invest.

In October 2009 Dr. Geert Woerlee stepped down as FeyeCon’s CEO and Dr. Maaike van Roosmalen has filled his shoes. Dr. Geert Woerlee continues to be intrinsically involved with FeyeCon, applying his expertise to create new spin-off businesses with FeyeCon’s proprietary technology.

Throughout FeyeCon’s history our vision has remained the same – to develop world class innovative technology.
