The use of chemicals in the textile industry and the pressure it puts on our fresh water reserves pose significant problems. FeyeCon has solved these problems with its game changing CO₂ technology. Our processes not only uses less or no chemicals or water, they also consume less energy and are faster, which dramatically reduces production costs. 

WATER FREE DYEING & PROCESSING

Our most revolutionary achievement is our waterless textile dyeing process. Skeptics said it could not be done, but we have proven the contrary. With the help of launching partner Nike, our joint venture DyeCoo has successfully implemented the first water free dyeing process for polyester, steadily making the dyeing business a clean business. We are currently investigating water free processes for cotton, leather and other fibers like paper.

AEROGELS - NEXT GENERATION INSULATION

Aerogels are world’s lightest solid materials and offer incredibly diverse and useful properties. Aerogels are an organic material and consist largely of air. They can be hydrophobic (water repelling) and come in many different forms for multiple applications. Aerogels were developed in the early 1930s and were first used by NASA to insulate the Mars Pathfinders. Until now Aerogels have not become mainstream insulation materials due to  high production costs linked to the long drying time needed to create the aerogel using conventional drying techniques. We believe this is all about to change. FeyeCon has reduced production time by a factor of 8 and significantly improved product quality.

EFFECTIVE INSULATION 

We believe our Aerogels are the ideal insulator for homes, containers, oil piping and cars. They have a very low thermal conductivity and excellent fire resisting properties. Using Aerogels saves a huge amount of space: the same insulation rate can be achieved with less then a third of the material.

CLEAN UP OIL SPILLS

Aerogels can be made hydrophobic (water repelling) and lipophilic (attracting fatty substances). When oil spills occur, Aerogels clean up the oil in a matter of minutes. They function as a sponge that absorbs the oil, not the water. Oil spills cause huge ecologic damage and current cleaning methods are not sustainable (e.g. burning or dispersants). When using Aerogels, oil is cleaned up quickly and both Aerogel and oil can be reused after salvaging. 

LIGHTWEIGHT FILLER

Aerogels come in different shapes and sizes. Granular and powdered Aerogels can be added to an array of different materials, transferring their beneficial Aerogel properties to the end product. We are currently investigating the possibilities off adding Aerogels to building materials such as glass and concrete. 

COSMETIC APPLICATIONS

Aerogels can even be used in cosmetic products. It absorbs oil and moisture - useful properties for cleaning products. Other examples are their use as a matting and brightening agent or as a thickener.

The TERSUS platform uses less energy and nearly eliminates water from textile cleaning, treatment, and finishing processes.
