Track Record

FeyeCon works in cooperation with its clients to obtain successful solutions. On this page you can find some of our recent prominent successes:

INHALABLE INSULIN
In 2000 over 171 million people worldwide were afflicted with diabetes. That number is expected to double by 2030 according to the world health organization. An important treatment is the daily injection of insulin. A noninvasive alternative to the daily injection therapy will make the treatment easier and patient friendlier. One route of getting large proteins like insulin into the human body is to administer them through the pulmonary system. FeyeCon innovative technology platform allows for the creation of airborne particle, which can be easily used for inhalation therapy. This technique has been successfully applied to insulin, resulting in good absorption in the body.

CONTROLLED MORPHOLOGY
Particle design is an important aspect of the development of any drug and even more so for drugs with strict demands on morphology. In one anti psychotic and bipolar disorder drug a mixed morphology is found resulting in a sub optimal treatment profile. FeyeCon has established a novel method to obtain the drug at any desired morphology with 100% purity.

IMPROVED MEDICAL DEVICES
FeyeCon’s carbon dioxide technology can be easily used for the development and improvement of medical devices. Using supercritical extraction FeyeCon has developed an innovative method for the purification of polymer particles. The developed extraction method is implemented in our in-house GMP clean room facilities. The produced, purified polymer particles are currently being successfully marketed by a prominent medical device company.

NOVEL COST EFFECTIVE PRODUCTION METHOD TO PRODUCE ULTRA PURE ALGINATES
Alginates are biodegradable biopolymers derived from algae. They are very useful in a wide variety of medical devices. In order for them to be used in the human body, they need to be free of any potential toxins.
FeyeCon has developed a new production method which allows for the production of ultra pure alginates in an easy, cost effective manner. The alginates are currently being used in an alginate-based medical device. FeyeCon is open for discussion on the licensing of this production method.
